20 years after it took the world by storm, Morris Panych and Wendy Gorling’s landmark movement theatre adaptation of Nikolai Gogol’s The Overcoat is re-born as a world premiere musical experience. Renowned playwright/director Panych joins forces with award-winning composer James Rolfe to bring a bold operatic voice to the beloved tale of a lowly office worker whose life is turned upside down when he is robbed of his new overcoat. Sparkling with spectacular choreography and darkly-funny storytelling, this genre-bending Overcoat is one of “the must-sees of the opera season” (The WholeNote).
